Dave Williams II
Born and raised in Little Rock, Dave followed in his father’s footsteps and began playing tenor saxophone at age 13 landing his first "professional gig" at 14 with the Four Tops. With that, he was hooked.
Over the years, Dave has created a name for himself in the music community hosting jams, brunches and Jazz nights at many locations around town and playing with a myriad of different bands.
Dave currently plays sax with TwiceSax, Charlotte Taylor & Gypsy Rain, Almost Infamous, The Dizzy 7, Gentleman Jazz, The Funkanites, Goodfoot, The Brian Nahlen Band, The Electric 5, The John Burnette Band, Little Rock Horns, Big John Miller Band, Little Joe & The BK's, The Morange Get Down Band, and the Dave Williams Trio / Quartet.
Dave enjoys taking familiar standards — such as "All Blues," "Sugar," and "Wave" — and playing them with a fresh interpretation, either in a different meter, speed or style. He believes making music is the highest form of communication, and that above all else, playing should be fun.

“You’ve got to know how to play your horn, it’s all about building your vocabulary and having a conversation,” “Most importantly, have fun. If you’re not having fun, you shouldn’t be playing.”
Dave can be heard all over Little Rock performing a variety of music with many bands. He runs an open jazz jam most Friday nights at his dad’s restaurant, Dave’s Place, from 6:30-9pm.
